Great call quality / Excellent choice

I purchased this phone from Amazon and have been using since 2 months
Cons:
- Can not conference 2 outgoing calls. But you can conference up to two system handsets together with one outside call.
- Can save only 50 numbers in the phone book.
- Speaker phone exists only in the handset not in the base. I think this is same for most of the phones in the market.
Pros:
- Great call quality (both using handset and speaker phone)
- Excellent range, I am able to use this phone from my neighbors house. Its amazing.
- Longer talk time and greater battery life. After the full battery charge, I used this phone continuously for 2 hours in a conference call and I still see 3 bars out of 3 in the battery indicator. Panasonic claims the talk time is 17 hours for this phone but i have not tested. I noticed that the standby time is more than 5 days.
- Alarm works perfectly in the handset
- Light weight handset. The handset uses rechargeable AAA batteries which is easy to get.
- Large buttons in the number pad.
- The screen is clear and you can see the caller ids clearly. The screen is auto shutoff after few seconds to save battery.
- I am using one handset but this system can be Expandable up to 6 handsets |
Excellent Cordless/Answering Machine

| We have been using this cordless phone for about a month now and have had no problems with it. Display is clear and lights up, sound quality is fine, and the programming is straightforward. I downgraded my phone service to save some $, so this answering machine replaces the voicemail feature I eliminated (plus we needed a phone that shows caller ID anyway). Caller ID displays on ring #2, and the digital answering machine works well. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and its affordable price: for what I save on my phone service downgrade in one month, I have a new phone/answering machine. |

I already own a Panasonic. So, when my mother needed a a new phone, this is the one I got her. She loves it. What I like about this model is that the number buttons seem to be bigger. Which is a great help for her to see them.
After looking at other phones, and now owning two Panasonic's I would not buy any other brand. |
Hard of Hearing? TRY THIS PHONE

I purchased a Telephone Model KX-TG6431 from Amazon. The Panasonic saleslady assured me it would work for my wife who, in spite of our spending nearly $10,000.00 so that she could hear better (especially on the phone), still had serious problems with the phones.
I don't imagine that you could understand just how THRILLED I was when she used the DECT 6.0 phone for first time and she was able to HEAR EVERY WORD and the other party sounded as if they were in the room speaking to her.
THANK YOU! To Amazon for their great selection.
THANK YOU! To the Panasonic Saleslady who KNEW her product line.
THANK YOU! To the Engineers at Panasonic who did a superior job on the audio.
I would give this phone 10 stars if I could because this is the best of the best.
Even her VERY expensive phone "designed for the hard of hearing" can't hold a candle to this phone.

Nice looking cordless phone/answering machine with a small footprint

I was in the market for an answering machine but my desk is kind of cluttered so I didn't have much space. So I was going to buy one of those stand-alone answering devices. You know, one of those things that ONLY records messages, no phones attached or anything. But I kept reading pretty negative reviews for most of them. But I read good reviews for this and it not just an answering machine but also a cordless phone. I figure, that's not a bad deal.
I'm glad I purchased this instead of one of those other devices. The sound quality of the phone is very good, and the footprint (the amount of desk space it takes up) is almost just as small as one of those dedicated answering machines. Using it is pretty simple too. If you have a new message waiting, the big, easy to see and press, play button will flash red. Pretty logical. The sound quality of the recording and playback is very good, I haven't had an issue trying to understand a name or phone number on the message yet.
But the best feature about the answering machine part of this phone is the ability to play back the messages on the actual handset. So you can be downstairs, away from the base, and still listen to your messages. The sound quality of listening to the messages that way is just as good, if not better since you can hold it right up to your ear if you like.
The phone itself works fairly well. Visually, it looks pretty nice. It doesn't have a visible antenna, but the reception is pretty good, although I haven't tried walking down the street with the phone yet to test out what the range of it was. The sound quality is very good, and the speakerphone also works quite well.
The only thing is that the handset, while visually attractive, feels a little weird in the hands at first. But it's not THAT bad and you get used to it pretty quickly, so it's no big deal.
I say if you're looking for an answering device, just get this, and you can expand it later with the stand-alone handsets and chargers so you can replace all of your outdated phones in your house with matching cordless phones if you like. And it's made by Panasonic, a brand you can trust. Sorry to sound like a commercial for them, but it's the truth, they typically do not sell low quality products. |
